威马出行事业部总经理离职,技术和产品部大减员
从多名知情人士处获悉,威马汽车拟对出行事业部进行调整,该部门原下属的技术部和产品部正进行大范围减员,原出行事业部总经理刘立群也已于上月离职。一位威马在职员工称,出行事业部原下属的技术部和产品部原本有64人,7人离职,6人调岗,10人收到通知等待HR沟通具体离职事宜。威马汽车方面回应称,这一调整(出行事业部的技术人员划到智能网联中心)是公司根据业务发展需要对部门架构进行的正常调整,以期更好地实现人才结构优化。
正大集团将以106亿美元价格收购乐购东南亚业务
英国超市乐购(Tesco)近日表示已达成交易意向,将以106亿美元的价格将其东南亚业务出售给正大集团。目前,正大集团董事会已经批准这笔收购,尚待在泰、马两国当局审批。有消息指出,这笔收购预计将于今年下半年完成。如果交易达成,这将成迄今为止在泰国发生最大的一笔收购,同时也是今年以来亚洲地区最大的一笔收购。本次收购涉及乐购在泰国的近2000家门店及在马拉西亚的70多家门店。乐购称,收购完成后将正式退出亚洲地区。

Advertising Week Europe has become the latest event to be disrupted by the fast-moving coronavirus outbreak that’s spread across the world, disrupting major events across industries. The four-day event, due to kick off in London on Mar. 16, will be postponed until Sept. 14, 2020, several industry sources told Digiday.
Spokespeople for Stillwell Partners, the event’s organizers, did not initially respond to a request for comment in time for publication. The company later released a notice on its website, confirming the plan to move the festivities back to September, “given the growing concerns over public health and safety due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.”

Thanks to strict advertiser blacklists, news publishers have historically struggled to monetize open inventory on so-called “hard news,”and coronavirus coverage is no exception. The ad-tech companies powering publishers’ sites, however, are finding it’s mostly business as usual.
Advertisers have blacklisted “coronavirus” and, according to Integral Ad Science, the term was the second most blocked keyword in February in the U.S., having been blocked over 38 million times across news domains last month. It was the eighth-most blocked term in January on news domains at nearly 8.5 million instances.
However, multiple ad-tech firms told Adweek they haven’t felt a notable hit to their bottom lines despite news outlets seeing lower CPMs on their coverage of the virus.

Ad tech company LoopMe launched Tuesday a shoppable in-app unit designed to streamline that process.
“The more you can reduce the number of clicks, the better it is for conversion,” said Par Vajihollahi, marketing manager at vitamins and supplements maker MegaFood, which is using the product.
LoopMe’s shoppable creative unit is served programmatically, and hooks directly into Amazon, Walmart, Target and Kroger through an API, so consumers can add a product to their cart directly from the ad, without having to search online. Advertisers can choose the platform they want to direct shoppers to based on their distribution relationships.

Fighting for their share
Despite only being in market with their CDP solutions for roughly a year or less, Salesforce, Adobe, Oracle and even SAP are winning on awareness. More than half of marketers (60%) said that they’re “very familiar” with Salesforce’s CDP. Awareness was also high for Adobe’s CDP offering (59% are very familiar), for Oracle, at 56%, and SAP at 49%.
The same can’t be said for the indies. Only 16% of those interviewed said that they’re very familiar with Tealium, 15% with Segment, 12% with Redpoint Global and 9% with Lytics and mParticle. (See chart for a full breakdown).

Amazon has started pitching what it’s calling Just Walk Out technology that powers Amazon Go stores to other retailers and, per a spokesperson, has“several signed deals”already.
The premise of“fast and convenient checkout experiences”remains the same. However, instead of using an app to enter as customers do at Amazon Go, shoppers at other stores will use credit cards.
Amazon says it provides“all the necessary technologies to enable checkout-free shopping,”but it’s not clear what those technologies are exactly beyond some combination of computer vision, sensor fusion and deep learning.
According to Amazon’s website for the service, JustWalkOut.com, installation“can take as little as a few weeks;”the platform also offers to“work with retailers as part of your construction or remodel plans”for new locations.
