1.     迪士尼:一季度净利下滑23%,预计二季度净利将亏损1.75亿美元

 

2月5日,迪士尼发布的2020财年第一财季度财报显示,第一季度,迪士尼实现营业收入208.6亿美元,相比去年同期增长36.3%;归属公司的净利润为21.07亿美元,与去年同期的28亿美元相比下降23%;此外,报告期内,迪士尼实现每股收益1.53亿美元,同比下降17%。

 

2.     诺基亚发财报:利润意外增长宣布获66个5G合同

 

2月6日,诺基亚还宣布,迄今为止已经在全世界获得了66份5G网络建设合同,已经有19个诺基亚供应设备的5G网络处于商用状态。

 

3.     Uber获加州批准,将重启无人驾驶测试

 

Uber获得批准,允许在加州重启无人驾驶测试项目,汽车将会配备备用司机。周三时,加州车辆管理局向Uber旗下无人驾驶部门Uber Advanced Technologies发放许可证。Uber称,暂时没有计划在加州测试无人驾驶汽车,如果真准备这样做,会通知相关监管机构。

5.     谷歌称Chrome浏览器将停止播放“破坏性”视频广告

 

据外媒报道,谷歌表示,基于联盟发布的最新广告标准,其Chrome浏览器将在今年晚些时候停止在含有“破坏性”视频广告的网站上播放广告。新的广告标准定义了什么是消费者无法接受的广告,这类广告包括无需与用户交互即可自动播放的视频广告,和占据屏幕30%以上的所谓“粘性广告”。联盟的组织成员包括谷歌、Facebook、微软和联合利华等公司。

Jeff Weiner, who has been leading the company as CEO for the past 11 years, is stepping down on June 1, 2020. His new role will be executive chairman. Ryan Roslansky, who is currently head of product, will be stepping up to the role of CEO, while Tomer Cohen, who had been under Roslansky, is stepping up to lead the product team.

 

2.     高通在欧洲面临针对5G RFFE芯片的新一轮竞争审查

 

Qualcomm is facing fresh antitrust scrutiny from the European Commission, with the regulator raising questions about radio frequency front-end (RFFE) chips which can be used in 5G devices.

 

The chipmaker has been expanding into selling RFFE chips for 5G devices, per Reuters, encouraging buyers of its 5G modems to also buy its radio frequency front-end chips, rather than buying from other vendors and integrating their hardware with its 5G modem chips.

It’s a battle of two Chinese brands for India’s budget smartphone market, which constitutes about 80% of the handset industry in the world’s second-most populous country.

 

While Chinese giant Xiaomi entered India in 2014 and disrupted the smartphone market, toppling the Indian device makers and racing ahead of the Korean electronics giant Samsung to become the number one player over the next five years, a mere one and a half years old Chinese rival Realme is catching up fast, growing at a breakneck speed.

Gojek has officially made its digital insurance service GoSure available to users today. The firm is partnering with Indonesian insurtech startup PasarPolis to provide a range of products for millions of Gojek users.

 

GoSure’s beta was went live in July 2019. The feature currently offers travel insurance products, as well as motor vehicles and mobile device protection.

SoftBank and Alibaba-backed digital payment company Paytm, owned by India’s most valuable startup One97, is starting its journey towards profitability after 10 years of operations.

 

Earlier this week, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, founder and CEO of One97, charted out a dual strategy that entails cutting losses by generating more revenue through the monetization of its 15 million merchant base.
